Stardust Crusaders is the Part most people picture when they hear the word 'JoJo'. It introduces Stands — spirits manifested as personalised avatars that fight on behalf of their users — and almost everything that follows in the saga rests on that mechanic. A returned DIO is awakening Stand abilities across the world, including one inside Joseph Joestar's daughter, and the only way to break it is to find and kill him. Joseph, his teenage grandson Jotaro Kujo, the Egyptian fortune-teller Avdol, the French swordsman Polnareff, the polite high-schooler Kakyoin and the dog Iggy assemble into the most iconic ensemble in the series and travel from Japan to Cairo over fifty days. Each leg is a duel with a Stand user; the structure became the template for nearly every Stand-based story that came after.
